How Auto Power Search uses cookies, preferences and personal data
We want privacy to be understandable, not hidden behind legal fog.
Do we use cookies?
In the app code, we do not set our own tracking cookies. We do use required browser storage for login sessions, language, market, security and temporary settings, plus a small functional sidebar cookie where that interface is used. Supabase authentication keeps a session in browser storage so you can stay logged in when you ask for that.
When you create an account, the important part is not a cookie. It is the data you choose to save in your account: searches, saved searches, favorites, likes, hidden or removed cars, alerts, messages and purchase-flow details.
Why we store preferences
From your searches we learn what you need. From your likes and favorites we learn what you love. From your dislikes, hidden cars and removed cars we learn what should not distract you anymore.
The goal is simple: clear focus, clear results. We use your saved preferences to remove clutter and help you find the car you are actually looking for.
If you reject optional personalization
You can still browse cars without optional personalization. You will see the marketplace, but the results will not be shaped by your saved desires. Features that need an account, such as saved searches, favorites, alerts, messages and online purchase steps, require us to store the data behind those features.
Notifications
With your consent, we send email and push notifications for activity that belongs to your search: replies from dealers, offers from dealers, price alerts, back-in-stock alerts, new cars that match saved searches, updates about your favorites, purchase steps, contract or payment updates, and messages inside the secure online purchase flow.
You can turn notification types on and off in your own notifications panel.
When data is shared with a dealer
We do not sell your personal data. If you contact a dealer or confirm a purchase intent, we share the data needed for that request with the dealer. The purpose is practical: the dealer can answer your question, prepare a tailored offer, prepare the sales contract and continue the secure online car purchase with you.
Your control
You can delete your account data at any time. Deleting your data removes the personal preferences that power saved and personalized features.
